Ottawa Race Weekend, Run Club Member Achievements

We had some great achievements by Run Club members!

Here’s what race day in Ottawa looks like (just a little crowd dodging involved):

a. Jason Trimble- Race stats for race weekend- 0:51:43 for the 10K. Way to GO, Jason!!!! Awesome first ever 10K!

b. Rosemarie Morse-first 10K race ever. Race stats for race weekend-0:55:32. Great run, Rosie!! Wow. Looks like you worked through those shin splints and are back in the game with a vengeance!

c. Eric Bazinet ran the half marathon this weekend and ended up in the TOP 10%!! Check out his stats-WOW! Eric, so happy for you achieving a P.B.! Eric is signed up for the full marathon for the Army Run in Sept.

His time: 1:39:05 for 21K!! Speed demon!

d. Former colleague, Ian MacEachern, ran the full marathon on Sunday with a time of 3:58! Congrats to him for an excellent long distance race.

I hope I didn’t miss anyone else. If I did, give me a shout and let’s celebrate your achievements. I saw a race Tshirt at the expo on Saturday that read “Finishing = Winning”—that’s my mantra (I put it next to my tank that says, “Race Strategy-Start off slow, then back off.”)

So proud of all our Run Club racers!! If you enjoyed that, sign up for the Army Run in Sept when you’ll be at peak performance.

Race pix thanks to Jason.
See all you HQ runners tomorrow at 12:05 in the lobby.
