Vancouver Runners, the SOBs, Run for Charity

Pacific Region Runs the Vancouver Eastside 10K

On Saturday, September 14, five employees in the Pacific region formed a team, the SOBs, and took part in the inaugural Vancouver Eastside 10K run. The run brought together over 1,000 runners to raise funds and awareness about 3 organizations that are supporting the downtown Vancouver East Side community:
  • Downtown Eastside Women's Centre,
  • Watari Counselling & Support Services, and
  • Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

The SOBs Team was made up of veteran runners and beginners: Hugh Black, Pierre Lajoie, Tracy Maloney, Stuart McDonald, and Michelle Mitchell.

Each member of the SOBs finished the race in their own time and the team celebrated their success at the end by showing off their medal.

Congratulations to each member of the team for running the race and supporting the community! The team would like to extend a special thank you to Stuart McDonald for organizing and facilitating the team’s participation
